FLOATING SKIMMERS FOR REMOVING OIL LAYERS FROM WATER

Floating skimmers are useful for removing an oil-water mixture from the surface of a pond or collection pit as well as removing oil from the surface of the water in an oily water separator. Floating skimmers of this type are generally used with an air diaphragm pump and an Oily Water Separator. In this type system, oil, water and air flow into the skimmer simultaneously.

adjustable for either thick or thin oil layers

· Non clogging - The skimmers (except the smallest model) are provided with solids screens to avoid large floating

objects from clogging the inlet of the skimmer.

· Skimmer will not plug with sludge – The skimmer floats on the surface, avoiding contact with so lid sludges.

The floating skimmers can be used in an y situation where substantial quantities of oil are p resent floating on water:

· In a storage tank or pit where a n oil layer floats o n the water.

· In a machine too l sum p or p arts washer where tram p oil floats on cutting oil.

· In a situation where oil has been spilled in a lake, river, or ocean.

· In a system where a belt skimmer does not have adequate capacity to remove all of the oil.

· Many types of oils removed - The f loating skimmers can remove any oil that will float on water, including crud e oils,

fuel oils, lubricants, rolling oils, tram p oil in machine too l coo lant, vegetable oil an d anti-corrosion oils.
